Late last year I did a custom order for a gorgeous young couple and their baby boy. That particular scene was Contos Beach at Boranup.
Truthfully ~ I said yes then freaked myself right out. THE ROCKS!! I was terrified I wouldn't be able to capture their memory.
In fact, I did.

In that exact moment I found a new way to paint with wool. Entirely unique to that piece.
It changed what I knew.

When I wandered the beaches around Margaret River through February, I saw rocks with fresh eyes.
They are now a feature I seek out.

Quietly working in between the moments. Letting my hands do their dance. Letting my thoughts ease out of my mind.
Hot coffee. Candles and incense. Music.

My favourite mantra "get out of your head and get into your hands" brings the focus back to the space and place of my inspiration.
I'm there.

I have told you a story about the little toddler who found me at Redgate Beach. (I'll pop it up in my stories) This is where I was sitting when that moment unfolded.
I am convinced this little section of the beach holds something energetic that pulls women to it.
A few blokes, but in my month south during February this was a place of women and children.

While I can't pop in, what I can do is close my eyes.
I can take myself there. I can recall everything.
It allows me to bring my art to life.

Where the scene is really doesn't matter.
What you feel does.
