You can come to church and never really come to Jesus. It’s possible to be busy doing things for God, and still miss the simple gift of being with Jesus and His heart toward you. The goal was never religion; it was and is always Jesus Himself!

This morning at City Campus, we received a fresh revelation and a renewed desire to know who Jesus is, what He has done for us, and the beauty of the life of freedom He offers each of us.
As we continued in our Gospel of Mark: Who is Jesus? series, Mark shows us that being religious and being a follower of Jesus can be dangerously different.
Like the Pharisees, some of us can slowly drift into the very same pattern of becoming more focused on doing things for Jesus than being with Jesus. We still come to church. Still worship. Still listen to the sermons. Still know when to say “Amen.” And somewhere along the way, our relationship with Jesus can quietly become more about performance than presence, duty than delight, and striving than surrender.
Church, Jesus wants you to come to Him, and He does so with open arms. We pray that you will resurrender, rededicate, and realign yourself to the love of Jesus Christ once again!
