Your retention graph is telling you exactly why your reel underperformed on socials.
Do you post reels on your business socials and cross your fingers in hope they will do the job?
Every so often our clients come to us with little to no understanding of how to interpret Meta Business Suiteβs analytics for social post performance. And to be fair, it is not always that straightforward.
So we broke down 7 common reel watch-time patterns and what each one reveals about your content:
1. Good reel: strong hook, strong retention, viewers stay to the end
2. Weak hook: slow intro means the audience leaves in the first few seconds
3. Good idea, weak ex*****on: solid topic let down by slow delivery and repetitive content
4. Rewatchable: fast edits and satisfying visuals keep retention near 100%
5. Strong content, weak distribution: great reel, just isn't reaching the right people
6. Lost audience midway: a boring or overlong middle section causes a sudden drop
7. Bad CTA placement: value ends too early and the call to action comes too late
Swipe through for the full breakdown, including the fix for each one.
Which pattern looks most like your last few reels? Tell us in the comments.

Do you think the line between B2B and B2C marketing is disappearing? We think it already has and if your strategy has not caught up, it is worth paying attention to what is changing.
For a long time, the distinction felt clear. B2B marketing was built around logic, long sales cycles, and relationship management. B2C was emotional, fast-moving, and consumer-driven. Separate disciplines with separate rulebooks.
That separation no longer holds, and the shift is being driven by something straightforward: the people making B2B decisions have changed.
Millennials and Gen Z are stepping into leadership roles and bringing their digital-first mindset and consumer-grade expectations with them. These are buyers who grew up with seamless digital experiences. They do not leave those expectations at the office door.
Around 80% of B2B buyers complete most of their research before they ever engage with a sales representative. They are self-directing their journey through content, peer reviews, and social platforms, exactly the way they make consumer decisions.
The tactics reflect this shift too. B2B brands are increasingly investing in short-form video, creator partnerships, emotional brand storytelling, and community-led marketing. Cannes saw major B2B brands running activations built around social-media-worthy experiences because that is what their buyers now expect.
More than half of large B2B purchases of one million dollars or greater will be processed through digital self-serve channels. The website, the content, and the digital experience are doing the selling now, not just the sales team.
The line between B2B and B2C marketing is not blurring because it has moved. The question is whether your strategy has moved with it.
Are you thinking about your next strategy yet?

When people are searching for what you offer, are your customers actually seeing your business? Because for most businesses we talk to, the honest answer is not always.
Most are focused on SEO. And that is the right foundation. But search has moved, and there are now three places your brand needs to show up if you want to stay visible to the customers who are looking for you right now.
π₯ SEO: Rank on Google. Keywords, backlinks, technical site health. This is still your foundation and you should not abandon it. Everything else builds on top of it.
π₯ AEO: You have probably noticed that big AI-generated box that now appears at the top of Google before the actual search results even begin. That is the Answer Engine. It reads content from across the web and answers the question itself. If your content is not structured to be pulled into that box, Google is sending people straight past you, even if you are ranking just below it.
π₯ GEO: When someone opens ChatGPT and Claude and asks "who is the best digital marketing agency in Sydney?" it does not show them a list of links. It recommends someone. Is that someone you? If you havenβt thought about this yet, time to do it.
Old search: rank higher, get clicks, maybe convert.
New search: be the answer, get recommended, win the business.
The brands winning right now are showing up in all three. Not just one.
