🌏 Marking 3 Years of Project Ceres Progress

As Project Ceres reaches its third anniversary, we’re proud to reflect on the journey so far and the momentum building on site in Karratha.

With overall progress now at 73%, key milestones across engineering, procurement, and fabrication have brought the project significantly closer to completion. As construction continues, it’s exciting to see workforce mobilisation now underway, with teams beginning to arrive and contribute to this next phase of development.

This marks an important transition as the project moves towards commissioning, with the plant expected to become operational in 2027. Once complete, Project Ceres will stand as Australia’s largest urea manufacturing facility, supporting local industry and strengthening long term food security.

Here’s a glimpse of the journey so far and the people behind it.

😇 From 16–22 March 2026, Harmony Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the rich cultural diversity that makes Australia stronger. It’s a reminder that inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging are at the heart of thriving communities and workplaces.

At Perdaman, we are proud to support the spirit of Harmony Week by fostering an environment where people from all backgrounds feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute. We believe that diversity drives innovation, strengthens collaboration, and helps us build a more inclusive future together.

This year, our teams came together to celebrate Harmony Week through engaging activities that highlighted culture, creativity, and connection. From sharing diverse cuisines during our Taste of Harmony food event to celebrating cultural heritage through our Diversity Dress Day, employees embraced the opportunity to showcase traditions, stories, and flavours from around the world—bringing our workplace closer together in the true spirit of inclusivity.

As we approach the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21 March), we also acknowledge the importance of standing against racism and continuing to create spaces where everyone feels they truly belong.

Let’s celebrate what brings us together because Everyone Belongs.

Perdaman Breaks Ground on 30MW Renewable Energy Project Development in Karratha - Perdaman 12/03/2026

📢 Perdaman marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for Project Helios – Phase 1, officially commencing development of our 30MW Solar Farm in Karratha, Western Australia. This project represents an important step in Perdaman’s clean energy journey and our broader commitment to decarbonising Project Ceres on the Burrup Peninsula.

We were honoured to have Roger Cook join the ceremony alongside Vikas Rambal and members of the Perdaman leadership team to mark the beginning of construction. Their presence highlighted the importance of renewable energy investment in supporting Western Australia’s sustainable industrial future.

Once completed, the solar installation will support energy requirements at Site ‘F’ and contribute to reducing the carbon intensity of operations at Project Ceres. The project is expected to reduce approximately 43,800 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, reinforcing Perdaman’s long-term sustainability goals.

The project will be delivered by Perdaman Advanced Energy, our clean energy subsidiary, further strengthening Perdaman’s capability to develop and deliver integrated renewable energy solutions.
