My beautiful Scottish friend Kelly reached out to me last week and kindly gifted me one of her healing sessions🙏.
Kelly is one of those incredible women who somehow manages to wear many hats in life and carries each of them with such grace and dedication.
Among those many roles she holds — mother, friend, professional — she also wears the hat of healer, and it is one she embodies beautifully.
Last night I had the privilege of spending time in her gorgeous healing space where she began with an oracle card reading.
Listening to her read and interpret the cards in her beautiful, thick Scottish accent made the experience even more special. The messages felt incredibly profound and deeply resonant, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
This was followed by a sound bowl healing session — something I had never experienced before✨️✨️.
When people talk about a “sound bath,” this is exactly what it felt like. The vibrations completely surrounded me, both internally and externally, creating a powerful sense of immersion. Kelly has an incredible sensitivity to energy and was able to sense where I felt blocked and where more flow was needed.
The entire experience was deeply relaxing, restorative and truly beautiful.

The nervous system leaves before your boundary does.
Long before you say yes when you meant no…
Before you over-explain, soften, justify, or abandon yourself…
Your body already knew.
The tight chest.
The shallow breath.
The jaw that clenches.
The stomach that drops.
The sudden urge to disappear, please, or keep the peace.
That’s your nervous system clocking danger — not danger now,
but danger remembered.
This is the moment most people miss.
They think boundaries are a decision made with the mind.
But boundaries are first felt in the body.
When the nervous system goes into survival,
the boundary doesn’t disappear —
you leave it.
You override the signal.
You choose connection over self-protection.
You abandon your truth to stay safe, liked, or loved.
And then later you wonder:
“Why did I say yes?”
“Why am I resentful?”
“Why am I exhausted?”
This work matters because healing isn’t about becoming harder or more guarded.
It’s about learning to stay present in your body when the old reflex to leave kicks in.
To notice the sensation.
To breathe instead of appease.
To pause instead of perform.
To respond instead of react.
When you can stay with the feeling —
your boundaries don’t need to shout.
They hold.
