Warwick Senators

Association was heavily influenced by Gordon and Lynne Ellis, parents of Mike, Glenn, Brett and Steve - the sons playing & coaching in the club. Stirling was one of eight clubs to have both Men’s and Women’s representative teams participate in the inaugural 1989 State Basketball League season. In the formative years the Senators operated out of Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium before moving to Herb Graham Leisure Centre in Mirrabooka, and then finally settled at what is currently known as Warwick Stadium – which has been the home since 1998. In 2012, the club became under the umbrella of Churches of Christ Sport & Recreation Association. The club was rebranded to The Warwick Senators in January 2019. Since we started, teams have been entered in the elite level SBL and WABL competitions under the name Stirling Senators through a licence granted by Basketball WA. Over the years there have been numerous people who have volunteered their time, energy and passion to see young people be active, healthy and achieve success on the basketball court while representing Stirling Basketball.
