Things every dad should know about family photos (send this to him, I'll say it for you)

- your wife wants you there, please don't make her ask twice. If she is wanting photos that's because it's means something to her, and one day it'll mean something to you too.

- you don't even have to organise anything, you just have to be present. Wear the outfit she's chosen, turn up and have fun with the kids!

- the photo for your throwing them in the air is probably the one she'll frame. Yes, the fun ones! You don't have to stand there awkwardly and say cheese.

- the photos of you cuddling your kids will mean more to all of you in 20 years than you realise. Because seriously, one day photos is all you'll have of these moments.

- 1 hour, once a year is all she's asking for you to commit. It's nothing. There's 8760 hours a year. I'm sure you can give her one.

- being in the photos is a gift for the whole family.

- this is a letter from your wife, she didn't know how to say it so I did.
