I began my preserving journey in high school, in home economics โ€“ learning how to make jams and preserves using locally sourced ingredients. During high school and university (whilst studying an education and science degree) I also preserved gifts for family and friends

QUINCE FRUIT PASTE (MEMBRILLO)
Sweet with an amazing floral fragrance. Quince fruit paste is thick enough (and firm enough) to thinly slice and looks wonderful on a fruit/cheese platter, served with meat, firm white cheese i.e. Spanish Manchego and crackers, in sandwiches or toast (with cream cheese or soft cheese), spread on/in cakes or stuffed into pastries.
