Meet Simon 👋

I’m an A-Grade qualified electrician who arrived at ADCO through a friends suggestion over 13 years ago. My role had comprised of project management work initially, progressing to hold the operation manager role of the residential team. More recently I’ve blended my role with business development work amongst builders and contract holders.

For over 20 years, ADCO Electrics has been providing Perth homes and businesses with safe, high-quality electrical solutions you can count on. Our team is fully qualified and dedicated to workmanship and service you can trust.

As the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time to make sure your home’s electrical systems are ready to handle the heat. Here’s how to prepare your home for summer:

✅ Check your air conditioning circuits - Ensure your system and dedicated circuits are working efficiently before the first heatwave.
✅ Test safety switches - Press the ‘TEST’ button on your RCDs to make sure they trip correctly.
✅ Inspect outdoor power points and lighting - Summer means more outdoor entertaining. Make sure outdoor sockets are safe and weather-rated.
✅ Upgrade old fans or install new ones - Ceiling fans are an energy-efficient way to keep cool.
✅ Book an electrical safety inspection - Especially if your home’s wiring is over 20 years old or you’ve noticed flickering lights or tripping breakers.

Meet Chris 👋 Our Solar Renewables General Manager.

I’ve spent most of my career in the electrical and renewables sector, working across mining, utilities, and large-scale energy projects. My background is in project management — leading complex builds from design through to delivery — and over the years I’ve found a real passion for renewable energy. Joining ADCO was a natural step, giving me the chance to focus on solar and battery solutions while bringing my experience in project delivery, commercial management, and team leadership into a new environment.

What really stood out was ADCO’s commitment to growth in solar and renewables, and the opportunity to help shape that journey from the ground up. The role lets me combine my technical background with my commercial and leadership experience, but more importantly it’s about building something that makes a difference — accelerating the clean energy transition. That mix of challenge and purpose is what excites me most.

It’s been a busy but rewarding start. I’ve been impressed by the energy in the business and the willingness of people to collaborate and get things moving quickly. There’s a strong team culture here, and the openness to new ideas has stood out straight away.

Every new role has a learning curve, and for me it’s been about getting across the internal systems, processes, and how ADCO likes to operate. I’ve taken the approach of asking plenty of questions, building relationships early, and making sure I understand the “why” behind how things are done. That’s helped me settle in quickly.

Our team is happy with their progress and entering the final stages of this impressive build in Cottesloe 👏
