We are thrilled to announce our recent addition to our team, Jen Van Dongen. Jen is an extremely experienced paralegal who will be working alongside Beverley Sorrell and Rebecca Thomas in our busy wills and estates practice. Welcome Jen!

We have written a book! And LexisNexis have published it!

We are always trying to find ways to help our lawyers develop their skills in civil litigation. As part of that, we went looking for a book about the strategy and practice of civil litigation - not ‘the law’ (we have the Red Book for that) but rather what happens day-to-day. How do you prepare for a directions hearing? What is a pleading and how do you draft one? What do you call a judge if you run into them at a party? It’s the stuff we all learnt the hard way - either by watching our seniors do it or by being thrown in the deep end.

But no such book existed - as far as we could tell, the hard way remained the only way. So we figured we would do something about it.

Covering everything from first contact with a client right through to accepting judgment, we share what we’ve learned in the hope of making the process just that little bit easier - or at least less scary.
