Lotus Chiropractic was featured in SBS' effort to highlight health workers still operating through these uncertain times. I'm honoured to be in a position to continue to support the needs of my patients now and always!

Here is your chance to say thank you to the unsung heroes, our front-line workers of COVID-19!

In this picture:Dr. Ashka Mehta - Chiropractor
She works from multiple medical centres in Perth, Western Australia.

Dr. Ashka says "I am pleased to be in a profession which is part of the solution (for long-term benefit). Chiropractors along with other allied health professionals have continued to work during the pandemic as directed by the Department of Health. In such professions where face-to-face appointments are necessary, these providers are putting themselves on the front line to help the community. In keeping our clinics open I feel that we have helped to reduce the burden on medical doctors, nurses and hospitals for patients arriving with such conditions. I'd like to thank all health professionals, teachers and retail supermarket workers for the support they have provided to all Australians".

Send us your picture and message if you’re a healthcare worker doing your job on the front-line. You can send your selfies, portrait pictures, short videos with a short message.

From here on, we’ll keep posting pictures and messages in the appreciation for those on the front-line of this contagion.

In light of some states shutting down ‘non-essential services’, the Federal Health Minister has confirmed that ALL allied health businesses nationally can continue working and are encouraged to do so. The Minister has also indicated that the Australian Government Department of Health is now developing full allied health telehealth options, along with other health and medical services, within the week. This will be part of a staged plan and he encourages providers to continue vital face-to-face services where possible. The ACA represents the chiropractic profession as a member of Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA), who are currently liaising with the Department of Health regarding this development and will be meeting with the Department shortly to discuss details for allied health items.
