Last night on the night on the Ningaloo coast š
This stretch of coastline has been insane.
To the point where going to the beach and not seeing a turtle was a bit of a let down.
Honestly one of the most magical places Iāve ever been in my life but itās time to move on to the next stage.
The Pilbara!
And I canāt wait!
The Ningaloo has a lot of things but swimming clubs isnāt one of them.
The one it does have in Exmouth was amazing but Iām ready to see more clubs and present to more people.
It all started with Onslow and now we are gearing up for a massive couple of weeks with before we head further north.
But to this amazing stretch of coastline.
We will be back.
Soon!

Full-circle moment. āļø
Last Friday, I had the chance to present to two clubs that shaped me.
where it all began, and, where I spent the bulk of my swimming journey.
Over 40 eager young swimmers.
One unforgettable night.
Still feeling blown away.
Giving back to the places that raised me in and out of the pool is exactly why I hit the road this year.
Next stop: heading up north (hopefully this week!)
If youāre part of a regional club, a coach, parent, swimmer, or committee member, Iād love to come present to your team.
Iāve created free workshops packed with practical tools and proven frameworks for:
⢠Coaches
⢠Swimmers
⢠Parents
⢠Committees
No cost. No limit. Just tell me where to be.
Letās grow regional swimming, together.

Right now, weāre deep in the trenches of potty training my daughter, Luna, and letās just say, progress is... messy.
One day, she nails it. The next?
Total disaster.
And then, just when I think sheās got it, weāre back to square one.
Sound familiar?
If youāve ever tried to improve your swimming technique or strength, you know exactly what Iām talking about.
ā
Some days, everything clicksāyour stroke feels smooth, your body feels strong.
ā Other days, you feel like youāve forgotten how to swim altogether.
š And then, itās just a cycle of small wins, setbacks, and figuring it out all over again.
Hereās the thing: Mastery isnāt a straight line.
Just like Luna wonāt become a potty expert overnight, you wonāt master your swim technique or strength work in one session.
Consistency is the key.
Thatās why our Swimming Strong Program is built for long-term progressānot quick fixes.
We focus on small, repeatable wins that stack up over time until suddenly... youāve unlocked a new level of performance.
No shortcuts.
No skipping steps.
Just steady, structured improvement.
Now, if only Lunaās progress came with less laundry...

šØ What if you could track your fatigue and adjust your training in real-time?
Comment āAutoā below to get your hands on our fatigue management spreadsheet!
Read below to find out why you need it.
Last week, I was in Karratha with the Northern Swimming Association, pushing swimmers through tough sessionsābut we didnāt just train hard, we trained smart.
Before every session, we used vertical jump testing to measure readiness scores. This told us how well each swimmer had recovered so we could adjust their programming on the spotāgiving them the best possible session without burning them out.
š” Some days, they were fresh, and we pushed them harder.
š” Other days, their scores told us they needed lower intensity, more technique work, or a different stimulus.
The result?
Better sessions, higher session intensity, and better outcomes for the swimmers involved.
š„ Iām so passionate that over the next year, Iāll be travelling to regional clubs across Australia (for free!), helping swimmers understand how strength training and recovery can unlock their best performances.
š Want to track your own fatigue and make smarter training decisions?
Iāve put together a Swimmer Auto-Regulation Tracking Sheetāthe exact tool we used in Karrathaāto help you monitor your recovery and adjust your training like a pro.

Donāt make this common mistake just before the Rottnest Channel Swim!
A member of the Swimming Strength & Performance exclusive Whatsapp group asked me what to do with their gym training before the South32 Rottnest Channel Swim
I get this question every year from people who have been told to drop gym 2 to 4 weeks before the swim.
Watch the video, but for the love of God, do not do that.
Itās not tapering.
Itās uneducated.
Regardless of your age, ability, or goal for the swim, if you took the sensible option of doing a swimming-specific strength training program to help with your preparation, your strength training plan should lead you up to the week of the event.
The risk you take by stopping strength training altogether during this critical time is too high!
Please watch this video if you need help figuring out what to do with your training program.
If you have more questions, please book a call with me, and I will happily talk you through them.
