Can we talk about letterpress for a minute?
It's one of the oldest printing techniques in the world, and it's also one of the most misunderstood when it comes to wedding invitations.
Letterpress wedding invitations aren't printed flat. The design is pressed into the paper using a metal or polymer plate, which is why you can actually feel the impression under your fingers. It's tactile in a way digital printing and foil printing simply aren't.
Every couple we've worked with has done the same thing the moment they hold one. They run their fingers over it like it's the softest thing they've ever touched.
It's also why letterpress wedding invitations cost more than other print finishes. You're not just paying for paper and ink.
You're paying for the setup, the individual plates for each colour, the time it takes to hand press every single piece, and the craftsmanship behind the whole process.
