Hi there,
my name is Daniel Anderson of Dandyman Images, but you can call me Dandy or Dan. I grew up in Midwest coast of Western Australia in the tiny fishing town of Jurien Bay. I'm currently living and working between there and Perth, with plans to move to Melbourne later in the year. Photography as been a lifelong hobby and whenever out and about, I would have camera in hand capturing anything

Day 1 of 2026 here in Jurien Bay.
After receiving my autism diagnosis and losing my dad in 2024, 2025 has been a year of many positive steps forward. I now have NDIS support, I’ve started a job at the Jurien Bay CRC where I’m learning so many new skills, and I’ve taken steps to return to university, which I’ll be starting in March. I also now have my dad’s house in my name.
All of this has helped turn what once felt like wishful thinking into something real and achievable. While there are still a few steps ahead of me, I genuinely believe now that the future I want is possible.
These positive moves have done wonders for my wellbeing, and I’m heading into 2026 feeling hopeful, grounded, and ready for what’s next. 🌱

This is the first of a series of photos of a botanical theme.
My first offering is of an Australian native wildflower grown in the garden last year, which is 𝑋𝑒𝑟𝑜𝑐ℎ𝑟𝑦𝑠𝑢𝑚 𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑚, commonly known as the 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫.
These are easily grown in the home garden and definitely live up to their name. Unfortunately, none of them appear in the garden this year, but hopefully I'm successful next time.
