First Steps PreKindy

πΏ A week of learning, discovery and friendship at First Steps PreKindy πΏ
This week the children have been engaged in a range of meaningful learning experiences, building both friendships and confidence through play.
During group time, we enjoyed listening to The Rainbow Fish, exploring themes of kindness, sharing and friendship. These moments support children to develop strong social connections and a sense of belonging within the group.
We also explored early science concepts through hands-on play, experimenting with floating and sinking. The children were curious, engaged and excited to test their ideas and discover what happens!
To extend this learning, the children:
π explored ocean-themed playdough, using their imagination to create and tell stories
π¨ engaged in art and craft using recycled bubble wrap, linking to sustainability and caring for our environment
Through these experiences, children are developing:
β¨ communication and listening skills
π€ friendships and social connections
π± awareness of sustainability and recycling
π curiosity and early scientific thinking
π‘ confidence to explore and try new things
It is so special watching the children learn alongside one another and grow in confidence each week.
If you are looking for a small, supportive PreKindy environment for your child, we would love to welcome you.
