Sea water will be innovatively used for cooling in the Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre at Watermans Bay to dramatically reduce its energy use. Its refurbishment is expected to achieve the equivalent of a five-star Green Star rating. Of course, when it's up and running, the centre will also greatly contribute to marine research, including conservation.
