Rod's been a client of ours since 2018 (See "Taking 'Mod Cons' Off The Grid" https://www.rvlithiumsystems.com.au/post/travelwith-modcons-offthegrid) and his brother Darryl (See "New Power for the NewGen" https://www.rvlithiumsystems.com.au/post/new-power-for-the-newgen) and we were always happy and honoured to see Rod again, this time with his new 300 Series Cruiser.

Rod bought the Cruiser to us after Custom Overland Solutions built his custom false floor and drawer setup which included an Engel drawer fridge and socket power.

In a partnership spanning five years now, we've been designing and building our RV Lithium Systems to suit Custom Overland Solutions (COS) false floor and custom drawer systems.

Needing to also power a portable 40L Engel fridge, induction cooker, coffee machine and toaster whilst away from Rod's caravan, we drew up the plans and built a custom RV Lithium System.

Luke, Stacey and the kid’s 2014 Coromal caravan had a basic power system that only included a100Ah Deep cycle battery and a 240V 15A charger, with no solar or car charging.

With a three-way AES (auto switching) fridge which was not using the van’s battery power, the family wanted to run a 40ltr Engel fridge, a 12V CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine, four Sirocco fans and the usual accessories such as lights, water pump, tv, phone’s tablets etc.

To meet their needs, we removed the original battery and charger and installed a Victron 200Ah 12.8V lithium NG battery and Victron Smart Bluetooth Small BMS (Battery Management System) NG (Next Generation), which has convenient built in battery monitoring.

Six years ago, we made James one of our portable Lithium Battery systems, The Lithium Box (TLB), customised as a 72Ah unit for his 200 Series Landcruiser.

We also kit out his Patriot Camper with The Lithium Box 100/40 Small last year.

Now James has another 200 series to which he’s added a set of draws, so we designed and built a custom system to suit.
His draws include an Evacool draw fridge with two big vents behind the draws which limited the room we had to install a battery system, so we built a slim 100Ah RVLSA Lithium battery with built in Victron smart Bluetooth BMV battery meter and two 50A Anderson plug battery connections.

We also built a custom Victron board with Victron Smart Bluetooth 50A Orion XS DCDC vehicle charger, Victron Smart Bluetooth 15A MPPT solar controller and six way fuse box.

On the roof went a 200W High Volt (48OCV) solar panel off to one side to accommodate surf boards and wired up the Evercool draw fridge and switch panel and sockets supplied with the drawers.

Additionally we installed an ARB brushless Twin head Compressor wired to the start battery with twin power feeds and fuses, and wired the compressor switch so the compressor can only used when the vehicle is running.

We shed light on the drawer situation by installing a National Lunar light in the rear.
