being out in nature has a grounding and healing quality as well. And is beneficial for my mental health too. I make and bottle small batches of produce from my garden. My philosophy is to take only as much as I need. My aim is to ensure the food I grow is eaten fresh and there is little waste. I'm also conscious of our dependence on plastics and prefer to use natural materials as well as recycle and reuse. I'm keen to share simple, nutritious and yummy recipes with the food I grow. And hopefully inspire others to grow their own food as well. I save seeds, and dry and bottle herbs and spices. I'm also keen to build and share knowledge about growing delicious and nutritious food. As well as share knowledge about alternative ways of living on this earth that is compassionate, respectful, sustainable and has a focus on justice. Side note: Makans is a Malay word for food. When we were little we'd ask our mum what was for dinner, and she'd say makans �
