We are looking for a Trade Assistant to support our Blast and Paint Team at Performance Mine Mechanical.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily operations in the blast, paint, and potentially fabrication departments.
• Provide hands-on support with equipment, tools, and materials.
• Work alongside experienced teams to ensure efficient production processes.

**FIFO HD FITTERS for 2/2 Roster**

• Underground breakdown fitter working on Sandvik drills DD421/422i / CAT loaders 2900 NLK/XE / Epiroc MT65 trucks, Normet/Volvo ancillary.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Must have the right to work in Australia
• Relevant HD Fitter Trade Certificate (required)
• FIFO from Brisbane
• Up to $105/hr depending on experience

We are looking for an industrial painter (with sandblasting experience) to support our Blast and Paint division at Performance Mine Mechanical on a casual role with the potential of a full-time role for the right candidate. Immediate start!

Key Responsibilities:
• Mix and apply industrial paints, coatings, or sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment (e.g. airless or conventional sprayers)
• Prepare surfaces for painting by removing rust, scale, grease, or other contaminants using sandblasting equipment
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper coating thickness, adhesion, and overall quality
• Be able to work afternoon shift (2pm -12am) and day shift on a month on month off roster 5 days a week with 10-hour days
• Assist with daily operations in the blast and paint
• Be able to blast to 2.5 standard
• Be able to trouble shoot and repair equipment break downs
• Work unsupervised on afternoon shift
• Work alongside experienced teams to ensure efficient production processes.
• Be able to use air-fed mask

What we’re looking for:
• Qualified spray painter (preferably) or extensive experience on 2pac coatings to a high standard
• 5+ years of spray painting experience
• Forklift ticket and drivers licence
• Experience in a mechanical, fabrication, or mining environment
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Good communication, teamwork skills and be flexible to changing priorities
