A while ago, I stopped using USBs to deliver my client photos and there's a few good reasons:

1. It's supposed to be a transport system only - ideally, USBs are a way to get files from A to B and you'd be saving all the images to multiple computers/hard drives. But the truth is that people forget and store their files on there long term.

2. They're unreliable - I've had USBs randomly die on me while I've been using them (brand new). I tried multiple brands but nothing was ever foolproof.

3. Digital downloads became much faster and easier. There are now some amazing online gallery options and internet speeds are fast and efficient, so it just made sense for clients. Plus you can then share the gallery with family and friends!

Now, instead of the USB, most of my packages include a gorgeous little box of prints and a personal thank you note, because I love something tangible that I can give clients. I adore seeing the images printed as you just can't beat professional lab quality printed photos.

Now the big question: Have you backed up your files recently? 😉
