Self-defense expert reacts to viral video showing woman fighting off attacker 21/02/2023

🚩 Importance of Self-Defence Training Caught on CCTV Footage 🚩

24-year old Nashali, was exercising alone at a gym in her apartment complex, when she was approached by her attacker, who proceeded to chase her around the gym, trying to grab her around her waist and pin her to the ground – the motive for his attack is believed to be sexual assault. Nashali is seen on the video repeatedly hitting her attacker in the head, aiming for his face and kneeing him in the groin until he eventually lets her go and she uses the opportunity to escape by running out of the gym.

Nashali’s quick thinking and instinctive psychological and physical response to the threatening situation she was faced with has saved her life! Thanks to her swift action, both during and after the attack, her attacker has been arrested and charged with sexual battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping.

The principle philosophy of Krav Maga self-defence training is to fight back in way that causes sufficient enough damage to an attacker to give you the opportunity to escape the situation all together - just like Nashali has executed in the footage below by repeatedly hitting her attacker in the head to open up that opportunity to escape from danger.

The principles of Krav Maga are simple and efficient – fight back as aggressively as you can to get away from threatening and dangerous situations. Don’t stick around for a prolonged, technical fight. The most essential and effective techniques Krav Maga teaches you are strikes aimed at the most vulnerable parts of your attacker – groin attacks, eye strikes, throat strikes, and strikes to the back of the head (just like Nashali has done in the footage).

Poking your attacker in the eyes, blinds them temporarily and they won’t be able to see as well. Kicking your attacker in the groin or grabbing and twisting their ge****ls causes them to double over in pain and they may not be able to stand upright. Striking your attacker in the throat is going to affect their ability to breathe. Aggressively striking at these vulnerable parts of the body not only inflicts pain on your attacker, but causes an involuntary functional response and temporarily disables the attacker - providing you an opportunity to escape.

Your body and your mind are your own best weapons for survival – if you are always prepared, you will always be protected.
