💡 Staff Spotlight: Ian “Fitzy” Fitzgerald – Foundry Specialist

Ian began his foundry apprenticeship back in 1980 and has spent decades mastering every aspect of the trade. With a depth of knowledge that’s earned respect across the industry, Fitzy has become a true icon of the Western Australian foundry sector.

In 2021, Ian was recognised as a “Legend of the Australian Foundry Industry” by the Australian Foundry Institute, which is a reflection of his lifelong contribution, craftsmanship, and commitment to the industry.

🏆Congratulations to Sam Hayres on receiving the Trainee Safety Award through the Defence Industry Pathways Program (DIPP).

Sam completed part of his 12-month traineeship with Dobbie as a host employer, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to workplace health and safety and contributed to improving our WHS systems and practices.

We were so impressed with Sam's attitude, dedication and professionalism that we offered him a full-time position as HSEQ Coordinator, which he accepted.
