Western Australia is privileged to have approximately 20,000 volunteer bush fire fighters and support crews, who are based at over 550 Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades throughout the State. The Association of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades of WA (AVBFB) is the advocacy agency for the State's volunteer bush fire fighters that champions for their health, welfare and safety.

🚒 2026 BFB Street Appeal – Perth 🚒
The Annual BFB Street Appeal is happening on Friday, 15 May 2026, right here in Perth!
Our Volunteer Bushfire Brigade members dedicate their time to protecting our communities from Bushfires and Emergencies. The Street Appeal is an opportunity for the community to show their support and help ensure our Volunteers have the equipment, training, and resources they need to keep WA safe.
If you see our Volunteers out and about on the day, please consider making a donation or stopping for a quick chat to learn more about the important work they do. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
