The Hawaiian Ride for Youth 2024 may be over, but its impact will be felt for years to come.

During Ride Week, riders and support crew visited 15 regional high schools to raise awareness and start conversations with students about positive mental health.

At each school, a school speaker, guided by Youth Focus, shared their personal experiences and engaged with the students.

Over the next few weeks, we will share more about our 2024 school speakers and their reasons for volunteering for this vital role 💙

However we feel it is important to keep you informed to avoid any misunderstanding.

In order to protect our particularly vulnerable patients and also our staff during the expanding COVID-19 epidemic in Western Australia, we have reluctantly decided that we are currently unable to see patients who have chosen to be unvaccinated for face-to-face consultations.
We will continue to provide telehealth consultations for these patients.
We are continuing to conduct consultations in person for patients who have no respiratory symptoms.
For patients who have respiratory symptoms, we ask that consultations be booked via telehealth initially, and then in person later if the patient has a negative RAT test on the day of consultation.

PLEASE get fully vaccinated!

Just in from HDWA

Half of all West Australians hospitalised with Omicron were unvaccinated — despite comprising less than two per cent of the State’s adult population.

Between February 1 and March 4, WA Health recorded 73 patients who were confirmed COVID-19 cases at the time of their admission to hospital.

Of these patients, 48 per cent were not vaccinated, according to data released by the State Government to The West Australian.
