Workplace exposure standards are changing.

From 1 December 2026, Workplace Exposure Standards (WES) for airborne contaminants will be replaced by Workplace Exposure Limits (WEL).

Throughout this week, we'll share what these changes mean and the practical steps employers can take to prepare.

This NAIDOC Week, we proudly celebrate the history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The 2026 theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates five decades of honouring the strength, resilience, leadership and enduring contributions of First Nations peoples and communities.

At Trainwest, we believe learning is about more than building skills. It's about creating opportunities, fostering respect, and supporting workplaces where everyone feels valued and empowered to succeed. As an organisation committed to developing people and strengthening workplaces across Australia, we recognise the importance of listening, learning, and continuing to build respectful relationships with First Nations peoples.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and learn. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We wish everyone a meaningful and inspiring NAIDOC Week.
