Delivered as a Design and Construct project from a simple Development Approval drawing set, we have taken the project from building licence approval on 15 September 2025 to lock-up stage in just a matter of months.
What makes this achievement even more impressive is that Beeliar Childcare is a two-storey build on a compact “postage stamp” site, creating a range of logistical and construction challenges throughout the process.
Despite these constraints, the project remains on track for completion by the end of May, achieving an impressive 34-week construction program.
Tydan Construction’s ability to deliver projects in shorter timeframes comes from our extensive experience, having successfully completed more than 30 childcare centres. This experience allows us to streamline construction, value engineer the build process and identify efficiencies that ultimately benefit our clients.
The advantages of delivering projects sooner are significant. For Tydan Construction, shorter build times reduce preliminary costs, enabling us to provide a more competitive and value-for-money price. More importantly, it allows our clients to realise their ROI earlier through rental income, occupancy, and business turnover.

TYDAN CONSTRUCTIONS is excited to announce the award of the Design & Construct contract for the new Bright Steps Childcare project in Kwinana.
With experience delivering more than 25 , our client placed their confidence in our ability to manage the full D&C process. Our hands-on involvement from concept through to detailed design enabled valuable value-engineering across materials, design efficiency, and buildability—keeping the project feasible in today’s challenging market.
With design complete and the building license approved, our team mobilised immediately. Site works, stormwater installation, and the ground slab are now complete. Framing has arrived on site, and er****on begins today—just six weeks after license approval.

OPORTO Ellenbrook – Job Complete & Handed Over! 🍗🏗️
WOW — what a challenge this one was! With one of the wettest days and months on record in the past 20 years, this project certainly tested our resilience. Every time we thought we were on top, the rain gods opened up again, making earthworks, concreting, and painting a tough battle.
But the Tydan Constructions team never gave up. 💪
With a tight deadline to meet, our staff and dedicated contractors pushed through — making the most of every fine-weather window and never wasting a moment.
This OPORTO Ellenbrook project follows closely on the back of our recently completed Guzman y Gomez, further proving that Tydan Constructions’ capabilities are broad and adaptable — spanning fast food, petroleum, medical, childcare, commercial, retail, light industrial, and everything in between.
A massive thank you to everyone involved for your hard work, commitment, and teamwork under challenging conditions.

ALDI – Progress Update
What an incredible transformation in just over four weeks since receiving the building licence.
Thanks to early procurement and meticulous forward planning, the team at has powered through at an exceptional pace. Rainy days? Clay site? No worries! The crew still managed to install 1,156 storm cells (a task that brought back memories of my childhood LEGO days), complete the sewer run, strip the site, remove the clay spoil, and carry out the fill.
With the groundwork set, our concrete team jumped into action – excavating and pouring the footings, forming the in-situ concrete retaining walls, and getting the first slab poured in the early hours of the morning.
Next up: completing the main retail floor, then moving on to manufacturing and casting the tilt panels.
