Meet Max 💚
Max came in to see us yesterday for a grass seed removal surgery, and despite not feeling his best, he was the absolute sweetest boy ever 🐾

He melted hearts with his gentle nature, wagging tail, and brave attitude throughout his stay. We’re so proud of how well he handled everything, and we’re happy to say he’s now on the road to recovery ✨

May is Pet Arthritis Awareness Month to emphasize that "slowing down" is often a sign of pain rather than just aging.

Signs of Pain (often hidden):

🐯🐱Cats: Less grooming, reduced jumping, increased hiding or irritability.

🐶🐹Dogs: Stiffness after resting, difficulty climbing stairs or jumping into cars, limping, and slowing down on walks.

Management Strategies:

🐧Veterinary care: Pain relief medication, joint supplements (omega-3s, glucosamine), mAb injections, laser therapy.

🐧At-Home Care: Providing soft, warm bedding, using non-slip rugs on hard floors, and placing food/water bowls on raised surfaces.

🐧Weight Management: Maintaining a healthy weight to reduce pressure on joints.

During May we are offering 10% of Beransa (for dogs) and Solensia (for cats) monthly monoclonal antibody injections used to manage chronic pain from osteoarthritis. They target Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) to reduce pain, acting differently from traditional anti-inflammatories.
