Purple undertones in the lips? Why we neutralise them first!
In slide 2 you’ll see the starting point a darker untoned lip with a purple hue that sits on the cooler side of lip tones.
slide 3, the magic happens here! Using I’m tattooing a warm base to bring the undertone back into balance before we even think about the final look which will take place at our touch up session.
Here’s the truth a lot of people don’t want to hear: Your lipstick shouldn’t be your chosen lip blush pigment! Purple tones will wash you out. Warm lips = life, even after healing!
And in slide 4: The healed result speaks for itself- your lip hue is warmer, more flattering, and blends beautifully with your skin tone (before the touch-up session).
Time for target colour! I’ll always recommend something harmonious, but stay away from purple unless I’m focused on the ombre technique! 🎨

Cold sores are the uninvited guest nobody asked for after lip blush (trust me I get it!) and if you’re prone to them, prevention really does matter.
Lip tattooing can trigger a cold sore flare-up in clients who carry the virus, which is why we always recommend peppering prior to your appointment with lysine (a multivitamin and antiviral medication from your local pharmacy)
A few quick reminders:
Don’t leave it until days after treatment to think about prevention!! It’s too late ladies!
Start any prescribed antivirals exactly as directed if you are prone to a breakout.
Keep your lips clean and hands off while healing
Avoid picking, licking, or overdoing the lip balm!
Follow your artist’s aftercare instructions properly
A little prep goes a long way - because the only thing you want waking up after lip blush is beautifully tinted lips, not a dramatic cold sore cameo. 🥺😭

I wish I took a better before photo of this nano brow transformation because this was one of those “omg I could cry with joy” moments. 🥹
