❗️Meta’s updated terms allow users with public accounts to have their photos, reels and likeness remixed or used for AI image generation by anyone using the Meta AI app. Users are automatically opted in by default and will not receive notifications if their content is used.

⚙️ To block others from using your photos and reels for AI generation, you must manually adjust your privacy settings.

👉 Open the Instagram app and tap your profile picture.
👉 Tap the three lines in the top right corner to open Settings and Activity.
👉 Scroll down and tap Sharing and reuse
Look for the header labeled Allow people to create with and reuse your content on Meta AI
👉 Toggle both Posts and Reels off

Did you know Nudify services were so commonly accessed in Australia?

Three more AI-powered nudifying services have withdrawn from the Australian market after eSafety took enforcement action under the world’s first Age-Restricted Material codes.

Together, these services were among the most heavily accessed in Australia, attracting around 50,000 visits per month.

These services have been used to generate degrading and abusive content, including s*xual exploitation material involving children

In total seven of the most widely used nudify services in Australia, previously visited hundreds of thousands of times a month, have now either withdrawn access, or taken measures to comply with their obligations under the Australian Online Safety Act

❤️ What a privilege it was to be invited to speak alongside 2021 Australian of Year Grace Tame , Tanya Lee OAM, and Louise Lamont .advocacy at an event in Perth dedicated to shining a light on child s*xual abuse and exploitation in Australia.

I have enormous respect for these amazing humans and the way they use their voices to challenge silence and stigma, raise awareness and advocate for victim-survivors. Their commitment to driving important conversations about prevention, protection, healing and justice is truly inspiring. I left the event feeling grateful to have shared the room with them and to have been part of such an important conversation.

❤️ Grace Tame is a powerful and courageous advocate whose work has helped shine a light on the realities of child s*xual abuse in Australia. I deeply admire her willingness to speak the truth, challenge systems, amplify the voices of victim-survivors and advocate for legislative change. Her impact extends far beyond what can be measured, influencing public awareness, policy and cultural conversations in ways that will be felt for generations. It is work that has come at great personal and professional cost.

While many see the remarkable advocate Grace is, I also recognise the victim-survivor of child s*xual abuse who continues the deeply personal work of healing in full view of the public, an experience that demands extraordinary courage, vulnerability and resilience. One can only imagine what it takes to balance national advocacy with intense public scrutiny and the risk of retraumatisation, all while navigating her own healing journey.

👊🏻 Despite these challenges, she has remained steadfast in her commitment to creating change. Her advocacy has played an important role in increasing public awareness, reducing stigma, challenging harmful attitudes and driving conversations that are essential to keeping children safe. Grace’s courage, authenticity and unwavering determination continue to inspire those working in child s*xual abuse prevention and survivor advocacy.
