These scams are designed to look legitimate. Their materials can appear highly polished and sometimes more professional than those of genuine firms, as scammers often copy real content and refine it to create a false sense of credibility.

They often include professional-looking documents and requests to transfer funds to bank accounts that are not genuinely connected to the business or representative being claimed.
