🚲 World Bicycle Day 🚲

Yesterday, we celebrated World Bicycle Day with a range of fun and engaging learning experiences focused on bicycles and bike safety.

The children participated in discussions about their own bikes at home, sharing stories about where they ride, who they ride with, and the different types and colours of bikes they have. These conversations encouraged language development, confidence, and social interaction as children listened to and learned from one another.

We also explored the importance of bicycle safety, discussing ways to keep ourselves safe while riding, including wearing a helmet, staying aware of our surroundings, and following safety rules. The children demonstrated a growing understanding of how to care for themselves and others when using bikes and scooters.

To extend their learning, the children completed bicycle-themed artworks, using their creativity to represent bikes and safety equipment while developing their fine motor skills.

It was a wonderful opportunity to promote healthy, active lifestyles while encouraging children to learn about safety and the many benefits of riding a bicycle. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️💙
