The Makuru season has arrived 🌧️

Across Noongar boodja, Makuru brings the first heavy rains, cooler winds, and signs of life preparing for what’s ahead. Swans begin nesting, wardongs fly in pairs, and bursts of blue and purple appear across the landscape.

It’s a season of change, connection, and new beginnings. Across the South West we continue to see this reflected in the lives of the people we support - because even in the coldest months, there is movement, strength and the promise of what’s to come.

Last week, Outcare was proud to take part in the Telethon7 Giving Celebration, recognising the collective impact of Telethon and its beneficiaries across Western Australia.

Outcare was represented by Lachie Eldrige, Diversion and Prevention Manager, and Serina Gill, Marketing and Communications Lead, joining fellow beneficiaries, partners and supporters to celebrate the power of community-driven change.

With the support of Telethon, Outcare continues to work alongside young people impacted by trauma, providing guidance, stability and the tools they need to build stronger futures and make positive contributions to their communities. Telethon’s ongoing commitment plays a vital role in strengthening this work, and we’re grateful to be part of such a powerful network of organisations driving meaningful outcomes across WA.
