The RBA has just announced an increase in the official cash rate of 0.25% to 2.6%, surprising the market with a lower rate increase than expected. Whilst any rate rises are not ideal for borrowers, hopefully this means the collective rate rises this year are having the desired impact on inflation and we can see a stabilisation to interest rates going forward.
