Charlie is our Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer and is a big reason why we do what we do 💥.

🚓 His personal experience with identity theft kickstarted our drive to prevent fraud and protect identity during the verification process.

“Looking back, it messed up my life milestones — the things we often celebrate, like purchasing your first home, I won’t be able to do for a long while,” said Charlie 💭.

🚨 Charlie found out his identity was stolen when he went to apply for his first car loan and found fraudulent credit enquiries on his file. This led to tens of thousands in legal fees and a terrible credit score.

With the banks and credit bureaus unwilling to assist, we decided to do something about it 💸 .

In one platform, we're helping businesses verify identity, detect complex fraud and comply with changing regulations.

“Fraud is on the rise, and businesses who choose the right identity provider will easily comply with legislation, see an uptick in conversion and prevent complex fraud simultaneously,” said Charlie 💭 .

Will facial biometrics become unreliable within the next three years? 😱

💭 Gartner has boldly predicted that 30% of enterprises will consider identity verification authentication solutions unreliable by 2026.

The prediction stems from the increase in AI-generated deepfakes, which can be used to undermine biometric authentication 📃.

As the risk of deepfakes rises, organisations should make sure to use models that are trained to recognise them 💡.

💭 Gartner suggested that organisations should create a baseline of controls to minimise the risk of deepfakes. This can include working with companies specifically investing in mitigating the latest deepfake threats.

✅ A successful model is trained on a data set of artificially generated images, allowing it to detect fraudulent identity documents created using AI.
