Happy NAIDOC Week! This year's theme 50 Years of Deadly marks the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC and provides a meaningful opportunity for all of us to come together, listen, learn, and show respect.

Today in our Perth office we celebrated with a warm and moving Welcome to Country delivered by Jayden Boundry.

Over the coming few weeks, we're really excited to take part in the NAIDOC events planned across the Shire of Leonora and the Shire of Laverton.

Congratulations to all who took part in the 2026 ERT Challenge during the recent Leonora Golden Gift weekend.

The challenge provided an excellent opportunity for our emergency response personnel to put their training into practice in a fast-paced and competitive environment, testing rope rescue techniques, hose deployment, casualty movement, fitness, and teamwork.

Well done to our Leonora and Laverton teams who came in second and fourth, and congratulations to Northern Star WA Operations Thunderbox who took out first place.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and participating in the event and to the local volunteer DFES members who helped out. We can’t wait to be back in 2027!
