So, this happened………

the Australian Company of ANASTASIA have had the great privilege and pleasure of having the phenomenal librettist Lynn Ahrens with us for the week.

Lynn is a titan of the contemporary Broadway scene as one half of Flaherty & Ahrens, who are responsible for shows like ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE, ANASTASIA (of course), and the mighty RAGTIME, currently dominating the Great White Way.

Lynn has been insightful, inspirational and nothing but supportive, and a champion of Australian talent.

Ms Ahrens, it has been an absolute honour!

I have been covering the role of Count Vladimir Popov for the past couple of days, and I just wanted to save some space to acknowledge the tireless work of our WHAM Team.
ANASTASIA is not a small show to prepare performance after performance, and and her team work tirelessly, and are often the ‘unsung’ heroes of our storytelling process.
Over the past couple of days the team has been attentive, creatively spectacular, and especially collaborative; which, as an actor, is not an indulgence you are often afforded in a ‘set show’.
Bravo to all WHAM teams currently working hard throughout Australia, and a special shout out to the
‘King of Finger Waves’, for my Act 2 Do! The waving of your fingers has been especially busy this week!!!
