Fogarty Foundation
''We want [students] to be really successful, but perhaps even more importantly, to find the experience of being educated, both joyful and incredibly rewarding.''
Hear from Mandy Nayton OAM as she explains the work done by the The Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation (DSF). The Fogarty Foundation have partnered with DSF for over a decade as they consistently demonstrated excellence in supporting learners with dyslexia and other literacy challenges. DSF plays a vital role in the education landscape, providing evidence-based programs, specialist tutoring, professional development for teachers, and resources for families.
We are also excited for Mandy Nayton OAM to be joining us as a panelist at our upcoming event EDUCATED 2026. This annual event takes place in two weeks, and we are very excited to bring together educators, policymakers, school leaders, community advocates and sector partners.

🎤 Opening Keynote Announcement: Chris Bush
We are thrilled to welcome Chris Bush, Churchill Fellow and pioneering educator, as our opening keynote speaker for our upcoming State of AI in WA Schools Forum co-hosted with The Beyond Boundaries Institute.
Chris’ journey began with a problem every teacher knows too well: too many students, too little time, and the constant challenge of giving each student what they actually need. After ten years teaching in Victorian secondary schools, he created an AI chatbot trained on the economics curriculum to provide personalised support for his students. The results were striking; test scores improved, and students were more engaged. But success raised a bigger question: if this works, why isn’t every student getting this kind of support?
His Churchill Fellowship took him to five countries to investigate how education systems are integrating AI. What he found was stark: AI is creating a “double equity crisis”, where students with advantages pull further ahead while others are left behind.
Now teaching at University High School in Melbourne, Chris works with schools and systems across Australia. Through workshops, consultations, and strategic planning, he helps educators reimagine education in an AI age; ensuring all students benefit, not just some.
The reality is uncomfortable: some schools are experimenting while others wait for perfect policies; and that delay has consequences. Don’t miss this opportunity to see what’s working, what’s possible, and what you can do.
