After three days at the AusIMM Critical Minerals Conference 2025 in Perth, a few key themes stood out for our Delonix Solutions team.
One keynote highlight came from Gerard Barron of The Metals Company, who shared fascinating insights into pilot plant mining of polymetallic nodules in the Pacific Ocean, resources lying up to 4km deep, containing nickel, copper and manganese. He spoke openly about the technical, environmental and political challenges of turning these resources into production.
It was also a great opportunity for our team to reconnect with peers and colleagues, including long-time friends within the processing community.
Events like this bring together industry, government and research to shape the future of critical minerals and we’re proud to play our part, sharing expertise in process engineering and project delivery across mining and resources.

Africa is in our DNA and it underpins our role in the global mining conversation.
It’s a big week for mining and resources here in Western Australia, with the Africa Down Under (ADU) Conference taking place at the Pan Pacific Perth from 3–5 September. Our team is on-site, connecting with industry leaders and peers to explore opportunities and strengthen partnerships across the continent.
With an established office in South Africa and a strong track record supporting projects throughout Africa, Delonix Solutions is proud to be part of the conversations shaping the next chapter of African mining and Australian–African collaboration.
If you’re attending , come and connect with us, we’d love to discuss opportunities, partnerships and the future of mining.

We’re at AusIMM’s Critical Minerals Conference 2025 in Perth!
Processing is front and centre this year, with one-third of presentations dedicated to it and our process experts are on the ground across all three days. We’re here to connect, share insights, and explore how smarter, faster and more scalable processing can shape the future of critical minerals.
With more than 110 years of combined experience, the team is ready for meaningful conversations about the challenges, opportunities and innovations driving this vital sector.
If you’re attending, come and say hello at , let’s talk about what’s next for critical minerals!

Copper discoveries are becoming rare. Since 1990, there have been 239 global discoveries, but only 14 in the past decade. The average time to production is 16.3 years and by 2032 the industry faces a 2.2mt shortfall in copper concentrate.
With greenfields slowing, the focus is shifting to extending existing deposits, developing brownfields, and delivering projects faster.
Delonix Solutions is working with miners across Australia, Africa, South America and beyond to deliver smarter, scalable copper projects.
We’ll be at Copper to the World 2025 in Adelaide, presented by Austmine, sharing how our Evolution Mineral Processing Technology™ is helping high-throughput copper, gold, nickel and iron ore plants achieve greater efficiency.

Diggers & Dealers 2025 is a wrap, but the conversations are just getting started.
From gold strategy and capital flows to modular delivery, brownfields ex*****on and emerging leadership, this year’s forum highlighted how mining is adapting to global pressures with speed, innovation and purpose.
Recognised as one of the industry’s most influential gatherings, Diggers & Dealers brought together the people, projects and technologies defining the next phase of resource development.
If we didn’t get the chance to connect, reach out to discover how we can support project ex*****on across gold, copper and nickel:
