What an epic and eventful weekend at Collie Stadium Rnd 1 of Pro and Pro Am Drifting

The new layout was a fast and full commitment line that challenged everyone 💪
Zero room for error an big consequences if you didn’t get it right.

Had a few hours of practice in the Ute and struggled to find my line and wasn’t happy with my efforts to be honest. As we headed out to qualify dumped the clutch and managed to snap both stub axles 😭🤷‍♂️ which left me no choice but to bail! As a few helping hands pushed me off the track rolled past after his qualifying run and said get out and jump in to the R31 to atleast qualify. What a bloody legend! Put in two laps to get through and that was that! A further 3 laps in the arvo to get abit of feel for the car as I would have to share the car in comp the next day!

First run there was a huge moment where Alex lost steering an went in to the wall I managed to back the car around before the hit to try and minimise damage but we didn’t get away without abit of damage to the rear axle. That’s the game we play! After assessing the car Adam’s words were LET IT EAT and send it!

I managed to secure 3rd place in a car I had never driven before. Which I was surprised with!
