The customer requested a DPF regeneration for their Jeep Grand Cherokee, following a previous total loss of $15,000 on a different vehicle due to engine issues. Upon arrival, the DPF was 87% clogged. After performing a regeneration and engine carbon clean, the soot levels dropped to 12%. Following a test drive, the customer reported a significant improvement in performance, quieter operation, faster acceleration, and much better engine responsiveness. The customer contacted us because his 3.0L diesel Pajero was blowing excessive black smoke. We began by testing the engine sensors and discovered a complete lack of turbo pressure. Upon removing the engine cover, we identified a split hose as the primary cause of the smoke.
​Despite the leak, the engine was significantly quieter, smoother, and more responsive following our cleaning service. The customer was very happy with the results, even though the hose will need to be replaced next week.
