Do you πŸ€” get shin splints?

Shin splints 🦡 are caused by the inflammation πŸ’₯ of the muscles and tissues that connect to your shin bone. It often presents as pain along the shin bone or on either side of your shin bone. Sometimes the painful area can be swollen and painful to touch.

Shin splints are most common in runners πŸƒ and are most commonly caused by suddenly increasing the amount or intensity of the exercise you do. It can also be caused by running on hard surfaces, over-pronation and poor footwear.
