Cookie Run Bunch

We’ve had the pleasure in being able to visit hospitals, police, border security and Parliament House! We’ve done a total of 14 cookie runs, baking over 3,000 items altogether. Its been an insightful experience as we got to visit frontline workers to see firsthand what they do to keep our community safe.

As things start to slowly go back to a ‘new normal’, we will start returning to work in the next coming weeks. We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us. The positive response has been so great from everyone and greatly appreciated by so many.

Parliamentarians and pastry chefs have some things in common – they’re good at stirring and are used to a bit of heat in the kitchen.

So I was delighted to accept a thank you cake on behalf of my parliamentary colleagues from the wonderful pastry chefs at the Cookie Run Bunch today.

COVID-19 has been hard on many members of the community but it’s kind gestures like this that keep us all smiling.

This is a great initiative that has seen tasty treats delivered as thanks to health workers, police officers and other frontline workers all over Perth.
