We’re pleased to spotlight Ravi Madhavan, a highly accomplished Principal Structural Engineer bringing over 37 years of experience across mining, industrial, oil & gas, and marine sectors.

Ravi brings deep expertise in FEA, nonlinear and dynamic analysis, combined with strong technical leadership and a practical approach to solving challenging structural problems.

His experience spans the conceptual and detailed design of large-scale steel and concrete infrastructure, particularly in mining and Bulk Materials Handling (BMH), including conveyors, crushing and screening facilities, reclaimers, stackers, and ship loading systems. He is also highly regarded for his work on brownfield assets, where he leads structural assessments, life extension studies, and upgrade designs that enhance performance and reliability.

Ravi combines strong analytical capability with hands-on technical leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams and mentoring engineers while ensuring designs meet both operational and safety requirements.

Ravi is valued not only for his technical excellence, but for his ability to solve complex structural challenges, optimise designs for durability, and lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality results.

Toro Engineering, with the support of Qetra, was proud to contribute to the design, fabrication, and supply of the camera pole for this project which has allowed all games at Toro Engineering Stadium to be live streamed.
