📢A STRONG CAMPAIGN - Almost too strong

Earlier today, we were proud to work with our friends in Turning Point Australia on the launch of a critical free speech campaign. On issues like this, high public engagement is always expected. What we saw today, though, went well beyond expectations. The level of support was overwhelming, both to me personally and, as it turned out, to my servers.

The traffic flowing into the campaign widget exceeded anything we had anticipated. That surge placed unexpected strain on the system and slowed load times across the platform. Even so, the number of people who persisted and made their voices heard despite the lag was genuinely remarkable.

When we built Civipen, we were confident in its capacity to handle significant demand. Today’s campaign delivered a real-world stress test that showed us where we can and must go further. As a result, we’ll be upgrading our server capacity as a priority to ensure even greater resilience going forward.

We take this as a very positive sign. Even with an unforeseen bump in the road, Civipen demonstrated its effectiveness when placed in the hands of a highly engaged campaign. We’re grateful to Turning Point Australia, to every user who took part, and to our clients for their patience and understanding as we continue to strengthen the platform.
