🛠️ Project Spotlight: Longwall Powered Roof Support Rehose ⛏️

Another successful project delivered in the Northern Bowen Basin! 📍 Our team was engaged by a valued client to undertake a complete rehose of their longwall system across 141 Powered Roof Supports.

The project kicked off in our Paget workshop 🏭, where a representative shield was put through a full rehose to develop and trial the methodology before site mobilisation. This phase included building a hose register, work methods, SWIs, a training package, and a pre-installation checklist ✅, plus an audit against recognised fluid power safety standards and the option for 3D scanning for future reference.

From there, our Field Team mobilised to site 🚛 and completed the rehose of all 141 shields on schedule, including hydraulic isolation, oil cleanliness sampling, hose removal and installation, and full recommissioning and function testing - all units returned to operational readiness and ready for deployment underground. ⚙️

A great example of what our integrated Engineering, Workshop and Field teams can deliver when planning and collaboration come together. 🙌 Well done to everyone involved!
