Please follow this advice / rules regarding burning in the Murray Bridge township
Thank you
🔥 Neighbourhood safety starts with responsible choices
Open-air burning can have real impacts beyond your own property, including smoke, odour and reduced air quality for surrounding homes.
Council’s Burning Permits Policy is in place to help manage these impacts and ensure burning only occurs where it is safe, necessary and appropriately controlled. The policy applies to properties within the township that have an area of 3000m2 or greater.
Even when permitted, burning must not cause unreasonable nuisance or affect the comfort and wellbeing of neighbours. Everyone has a role in helping maintain a safe and respectful community environment.
By considering safer alternatives and following permit conditions, we can all help reduce risk and protect our neighbourhoods.
This policy applies to open-air burning within township areas.
