National Week 2026 💛

This week is to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events.

iREACH Rural Health will be supporting NAIDOC Week by attending the Bridge Walk and the Mannum Family Fun Day.

💚 Monday 6th of July is the annual Bridge Walk in Murray Bridge. Meet on the east side of the Bridge at 9:30 AM. The NAIDOC awards ceremony starts at 10:00 AM followed by morning tea and lunch at the Council Chambers.

💙 Thursday 9th of July is the Mannum Family Fun day. The Second Beginnings Coffee Van will be serving free hot drinks between 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Mary Ann Reserve, Mannum. Whether you're looking to learn more about local mental health and alcohol and other drug support services, have questions, or simply enjoy a friendly conversation, we'd love to see you. Join us for a coffee, connect with our team, and help break down stigma by encouraging open conversations and increasing awareness of the support available in our community.

iREACH Rural Health will no longer be providing the care finder porgram from July 2026. We are happy to help connect or guide you to one of the following organisations for aged care access, depending on what is needed.

Resthaven will be taking over the care finder program, providing intensive support for those who have no one else to help them.

Today, National Reconciliation Week 2026 (NRW) begins.

The theme for is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

Reconciliation is everyone’s business, and NRW, which runs from the 27th of May to the 3rd of June, is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements and explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
