Ways to improve your vitamin D & Vitamin A ratio:
🌞Sunlight Exposure: 15-30 minutes of sunlight exposure each day (depending on the time of day and skin tone) is enough to reach your daily requirements of vitamin D.
🥬 Charging your food in the sun before cooking/eating to increase their vitamin D content – mushrooms take 2 minutes in the sun to fully charge, while other fruits and vegetables take 30 minutes to an hour.
🐟 Cod liver oil supplementation – cod liver contains both vitamin A & vitamin D
🐄 Vitamin A sources: animal fat, eggs, diary products and orange vegetables.

VITAMIN A & VITAMIN D RELATIONSHIP ☯️
Vitamin D has been well studied in it’s ability to modulate the immune system, however it’s counterpart vitamin A often is left unnoticed. Vitamin A & vitamin D are both fat-soluble vitamins that work together as a ratio – when vitamin A is particularly high, that can indicate that vitamin D is low and vice versa. For example, reduced exposure to sunlight and or pre-existing deficiency to vitamin D simultaneously increases the accumulation, expression and potential toxicity of vitamin A.

3,751 (42%) enzymatic reactions in our body are magnesium dependent. It plays an important role in our bone formation, muscle relaxation, hormone regulation, sleep/anxiety/stress, energy production and digestion to name a few. One of the most important nutrients in our bodies, yet approximately 75%-80% of everyday Australians and 95% of athletes are deficient.
