The right question now can save a renovation later.

And it’s usually not a big, fancy dramatic question.

It’s the small, slightly annoying one like... “Hmm. Are we sure?”

Are we sure that door swing works?
Are we sure that window is in the right spot?
Are we sure the laundry won’t make everyone swear on school mornings?

These questions can feel nit-picky at the time. But they’re not.

They are the cheap questions. Because once designs becomes walls, plumbing, tiles and invoices, the questions unasked, become an expensive change in your arguments.

Good design is not making a home complicated. but it’s about asking the right questions while the answers are still easy to change.
