Game Time Performance Brisbane
We are passionate about helping our patients get back to their best and stay there!
1 year ago, Litiana ruptured her ACL. Today, she’s telling the truth about what recovery actually looks like after ACL surgery.⠀
⠀
Not the highlight version. The real one — the plateaus, the days she didn’t feel like showing up and the tough parts that not many people talk about.⠀
⠀
She’s shares it all: the good, the hard, and what she’d tell anyone going through this right now.⠀
⠀
If you’re mid-rehab and it feels all too much — this one’s for you. 🎗️⠀

🏉 This was a big pack of GTP Athlete cards, full of rehab and performance athletes that make Game Time what it is ❤️⠀

Our display shelves are now full and at this rate, we’ll need to get as many as Bunnings have in stock 🤣
The first weeks after an ACL reconstruction can be brutal — and not always for the reasons people expect.**⠀
⠀
We sat down with Tom, a rugby union player, who spoke openly about what his ACL rehab has involved from the inside.⠀
⠀
He didn’t sugarcoat the early phase. It was hard — physically demanding, and mentally heavier than he expected. Going from full training to starting over, and sitting with that uncertainty, is one of the more under-discussed parts of ACL recovery. It’s also completely normal.⠀
⠀
One thing that can make the road feel less isolating is not walking it alone. Rehabbing alongside others who’ve been through the same injury means shared experience, mutual understanding, and people who genuinely know what each stage feels like.⠀
⠀
Asked what he’d pass on to anyone earlier in their own journey, Tom kept it simple: consistency — show up on the days motivation is low, stay consistent with the work that isn’t exciting, and take each stage as it comes.⠀
⠀
ACL rehabilitation is a long road. Understanding what it can involve — physically and mentally — can make it a more manageable one.⠀
